Major Focus Areas and Goals

  • Membership
    • The Goal is to increase the Chamber Membership to gain a more diverse and broader reaching organization.

    • Measurement of Goal (Set and Measured on a yearly basis):

      1. % net increase in total membership
      2. % increase in Chamber Champions
      3. % increase in minority owned businesses

    • There will be a baseline created for this goal comparison on July 1, 2020

  • Marketing and Reach
    • The Goal is to increase the reach of the Chamber and create a unified marketing approach for the organization.

    • Measurement of Goal (Set and Measured on a yearly basis):

      1. % increase in social media presence
      2. % increase in total number of email distribution list
      3. Creation of unified marketing plan
      4. Yearly non-member business visit plan

    • Other methodology for focus area:

      1. Video Marketing – Year End Videos
      2. Tell the organizations story at board meetings
  • Workforce Development
    • The Goal is to increase the availability of trained and skilled workers for employers in Glynn County. The Chamber, in partnership with EDA, must take the leadership role in this area for our community.

    • Measurement of Goal:

      1. Completion of GAP Analysis on Workforce Development
      2. Creation of master list of all workforce development programs and partners
      3. Creation of programing that addresses needs identified in the analysis.
  • Advocacy
    • The goal is to continue to increase our leadership as the voice of business in Southeast Georgia.

    • Measurement of Goal:

      1. Explore, and create if needed, a foundation and PAC
      2. Lead efforts for the Shared Vision Partners
      3. Produce the State and Federal Legislative Agenda’s for Glynn County
