The Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce is a member-based organization that provides leadership in fostering a dynamic business environment for the entire community.

The Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce has served as the “Voice of Business” in the community since its inception in 1954. The Chamber serves as the community’s advocate for a vibrant and prosperous economy and outstanding quality of life for Brunswick, Saint Simons Island, Jekyll Island, Sea Island and Little Saint Simons Island.

Today we continue to highlight our awesome local businesses through our 100 members in 100 days campaign. Our journey through the Golden Isles took us to Jekyll Island and to the welcoming office of Parker-Kaufman Realtors, located at 21 Main Street, Suite 103.

Parker-Kaufman is a full-service Real Estate company. There is a state licensed real estate appraiser on staff. Additional services include residential, commercial, and industrial brokerage with an emphasis on residential properties. They also manage approximately 400 long term residential properties on the mainland and the islands, and approximately 150 short term resort residential properties on the island.

Storm continues to move in a more eastern track
Ian is a Tropical Storm Status
65 mph winds moving NE at 8mph
220 miles SSE of Brunswick

We are currently still under Tropical Storm Warning and Storm Surge Warning.

Rainfall forecast has decreased, expecting 2 to 4 inches
Wind is still moderate, there have been gusts of 55mph and expected to maintain at that level but could reach 60-70 mph as storm moves closer.

Storm surge is still a concern with offshore winds
High tide at 11:08 today and again around 11:30 tonite are predicted to be at high levels.

Forecast for 4-5 ft above levels.

Comparable to flooding area had during Matthew, Irma level could happen, but they have lower confidence in this.
