    Event Description:
Green Screen, the Golden Isles’ premier environmental film festival, returns with environmental awareness and fun on Saturday, February 2,  1:30 PM (doors open) at the Ritz Theater in historic downtown Brunswick.  Coordinated by Green Scene of Coastal Georgia, the 2019 film festival offers an education fair spotlighting local coastal and environmental groups, and coastal-related films including the feature documentary, SONIC SEA

SONIC SEA - Oceans are a sonic symphony. Sound is essential to the survival and prosperity of marine life, but man-made ocean noise is threatening this fragile world.  Sonic Sea is about protecting life in our waters from the destructive effects of oceanic noise pollution.

Three additional short films will be presented as well as a panel discussion about man-made ocean noise and marine life.  Returning will be an educational exhibitor fair, 50/50 and item raffle, and the first 100 attendees to arrive will receive a free reusuable cup.

New this year will be a “sticker station” featuring a multitude of environmental advocacy stickers. Additionally, coffee drinkers are encouraged to bring their own coffee cups to enjoy freshly brewed coffee by Wake Up Coffee.
