Annual Events

Every year is a busy year for the Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber, but four events hold a special place on the community calendar.  Read more about the Trade Fair, The Chamber Experience Event, Golf Tournament, and Annual Dinner below.

Trade Fair

An annual event held in Atlantic Hall at the Jekyll Island Convention Center.  With space for 100 exhibitors, the Trade Fair is one of the best opportunities for participating local business to network with one another and the attendees.  Exhibitions allow you to go one step further than any form of advertising or public relations.  No other marketing channel enables you to engage in up-close-and-personal discussion with potential customers.  Exhibitors include banks, physicians, small businesses, communications companies, non-profit organizations, and contractors… a real cross-section of Chamber member businesses.

The 2011 Trade Fair will be held on February 17.

The Chamber Experience

This annual fundraising event held during in May provides financial support for many of the Chamber’s activities and is an evening of fun that includes fabulous food and both a silent and a live auction.  Past items for auction have included a trip to The Masters, an all-inclusive two-day trip to Atlanta (including a visit to the Georgia Aquarium and an Atlanta Braves baseball game), fishing excursions, golf outings, home improvement packages and much, much more.  It is definitely a “do not miss” event!

Golf Tournament

One of the premiere golf events in Brunswick and the Golden Isles, this tournament is held annually in September with door prizes and the usual longest drive, closest to the pin, etc. skill recognitions. But what really sets this tournament apart is the variety of unique activities that are created to challenge the players. Each year, a sell-out field of 36 teams participates in this event. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

The 2010 Golf Tournament will be held on September 24, 2011 at the King and Prince Golf Course on St. Simons Island. Click Here for SPONSORSHIP INFORMATION.

Annual Dinner

The Chamber's Annual Dinner was held in June and attended by hundreds of Chamber members to celebrate the successes of the previous year and to recognize the incoming President and Board of Directors. It also provides the perfect opportunity to recognize outstanding community leaders with the presentation of the Alfred W. Jones Award, the Volunteer of the Year Award, Ambassador of the Year Award and Chairman’s Award.

Grits and Issues Breakfast

The Grits and Issues Breakfast is an annual event held in December where our State and Federal legislators provide comments on issues facing them in the upcoming legislative year.
